Hundertwasser Artwork

Room 24 has bean studying the art the work of Hundertwasser.
A famous artist who designed lots of brightly coloured, unique, wacky and imaginative houses.  He designed apartments in Europe and created the interesting toilets in Kawakawa.  His artwork uses only bright colours and he paints lollipop tree, onion roofed houses and doesn’t use straight lines.  We have looked at his artwork and used some of his techniques to create our own hundertwasser creations.

Helicopter simulator

On Tuesday 26th June Room 24
and Room 17 went on the Helicopter simulator.
It came from way out in the city and it cost a lot of money to bring in so we had to try and make a donation.  It has been coming for the last 4 weeks but only on Tuesdays.

So what you do in the simulator is it’s a big van that has 2 controllers that you control on a big screen with a helicopter in Auckland city. All of us had a turn to drive the helicopter. We had a list of names in class on the board.  All of us drove under the harbour bridge, some of us crashed in the water then after that a few water-skied and sunk.

It was an amazing day and we had lots of fun.
